He's always there :)

*Thinking Cap on * How did time flew by so fast between my last post and now?

How are you lovely blogger and readers doing? Hope the summer is going fabulous especially for everyone who was in school throughout the year. On my end everything have been going fabulous and looking back now I see that I have come very far in the last few months.

If you have been following my blog for a long time you would notice that my blogging trend dropped in a way. Rewinding back to march I had a terrible terrible emotional breakdown that changed the way I was approaching things in life and view about myself and what not. For some people who can read in between the line I hinted here and here and then like 10 draft post that I never publish just because I did not want to be overly negative on here or have a pity party. It all started with losing a friend and then a million other things follow one by one after the other. Now when I love, I love with my whole heart and therefore when I'm broken the heart is broken into a million pieces and therefore every other little damage makes the matter worst...Imagine this was just for a close friend what will happen if this one was hubby eh? lol. Anyway sha I will spare all the negative parts but it Got to a point when I would open my bible and the tears just roll down non-stop, any little thing will just make me cry a river, and even praying or listening to God speak was just a hassle or pointless. (hence another reasons I posted less)

I don't even know how but somewhere somehow just about last month my joy came back all again with a million things happening at ones and all unexpected open doors in different areas. The most amazing one was that my Sophomore year my faculty advisor told me I should switch my major otherwise I might not make it through if I continued at the rate I was at the time. Mind you this was a Nigerian professor on campus that I saw as my father on campus. Somehow somewhere God never put me to shame because I made it through 4.5 yrs as an EE major and had the privilege to sit on the podium along with 13 other students been honored during the 2900+ graduating student's ceremony. Seeing my parents, pastors and the rest of the family smile on that day lifted my soul and reminded me that I can do all things through Christ who strengthen me. Sadly the person who made me become an engineer did not live to witness this day but I know he would have been very proud of me. To top it off I got a Graduate Internship in Florida with all housing, and relocation expenses paid for. God knew that I really needed some alone time in a place far far away where I know no soul. Its been a few weeks now and I can say sometimes I miss home and not having my friends around to hang out with but I am really learning more about myself and growing.

Anyway sha enough of my story, all I have learned in this past months is when it comes to a situation where you cannot even get yourself to ask for God's help, tell someone to help. My mom was my helper all along. She is a fire fire woman and you don't mess with her and her prayers, She was on her knees on my behalf everyday and I have seen God works miraculous works through her many many times and He did not fail this time :)

I'd like to say every breakdown is an opportunity to rise and shine again to the highest height. This post is dedicated to anyone going through one thing or the other that they think they can't get up again. Even when we fall to our lowest level He still lifts us up and reminds us that we are not alone in this. I was not going to post this today but decided to share hoping at an individual will read this.

A word for you - “It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed. ” -Deuteronomy 31:8

In life....

...There are lessons learned and some never learned no matter how many times that same act is repeated.

With that said....

Lesson learned 1:
When you love someone never let them go .

Lesson learned 2:
Put man first = A giant hole in the heart when they are gone.
Put God first = He will always be there

THE END.

Just some thoughts

Hallo everyone, hope you guys dey fine? So today I decided to do a blog post but apparently my brain went blank and I had so many exciting thoughts that I wanted to share ...anyways since I don't have much today, I shall right about the Best Friend.

I have got this "Best Friend" take note of the quote in the title. So let's call him Ayo because it's means joy and that describes our moments.  Ayo and I have been best friends for quite a long time now...stop there, before you start judging me I do believe that guys and girls can't be best friends, this I have learned with 3 different experiences/friendship.

Anyway boy and I got really close and we share any and every feelings and thought on things with each other. For a long time it's been great until a while back when I began to feel belittled. He's like the smartest guys I have ever met on planet earth and surely I can say that I have learned a lot with Ayo around.

Going back to feeling belittled. Ayo always have his ways with words and no matter how much defense you put up, he always wins the case and if you think he is wrong and want an apology it is definitely a waste of time and effort fighting for it. So once these feelings began to constantly creep in, I get angry over any little situation and feel so bitter inside.

I have tried to talk about this with him but the message is just not passing across with all the anger inside. When it comes to the things of the heart I could be a very bad communicator and just keep everything in until I explode like now and in the past weeks. At times I feel like walking away but no matter what I can't get myself to do that because we have grown too much to each other. Sometimes I'm hurt because he tells me I have changed or act as if he really piss me off.

I don't know If i'm asking for your thoughts on this or I'm just venting and ranting, but one thing for sure is that Ayo is the only one who knows about my blog and sometimes visit so I'm really hoping he gets to see this. :(

On another note I finally traveled for the first time this year and I went to National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) convention in Pittsburgh PA....the convention itself was amazing as usual. With thousands of black engineers from all over the country, I kinda felt so very proud hearing everyone's accomplishment and I literally jumped out of my seat when it was announce that Uniben won the NSBE International Consulting Design Olympiad of the year. I was just like Edo folks don't carry last...lol. One thing for sure though is I refuse to return to that city in my lifetime. I thought my town was boring and dry but Pittsburgh is 200 times worst.

Career Fair at the Convention Center

Gorgeous city at night but not going back

Have a good one guys and Happy Easter celebration.  If not for Christ I would have been no one.

SHE'S HERE!!!!

She is HERE, SHE IS HERE...She is FINALLY FINALLY HERE. Its been years and I've been waiting for her to get here. Seven months ago I finally knew she was on her way. I was so excited you don't even know. I had a name for her before I even knew she was coming and started stocking up her mini wardrobe every time I go shopping. I must admit she is one of the most gorgeous creature. So are you ready to see my little cutie? Ding ding ding, are you ready to see her???

                                          .
                                          .
                                          .
                                          .
                                          .
Yup that's her, my very amiable and beautiful diva little Ms. Melody at 4 days old. She is oh so adorable, gorgeous, beautiful and all the other yet invented words for a beauty like her.

Ok Ok before all the Congratulation starts....This is my little cousin from my favorite aunt.  80% of the person that I'm today is from the inspiration that I got from my aunt. I grew up with her and she thought me all the little stuff I needed to know. I remember my very first Liturgical dance with her at the age of 6/7. Thank God for her I have grown to love dancing for the Lord and still doing it till this day. Growing up she was just a teen so she treated me as a little sister and favorite baby girl. With all the love I could not wait for her to have a baby girl so I could do the same. Been her best maid in 2008, I kept telling her I wanted a baby girl first but God had a different plan so I had to wait a bit longer.

Once she told me she was Pregnant and it was a girl, the first name that came up was Melody. Mind you Melody was suppose to be one of my baby girl's name but I could not help it but call her dad and amazingly on her birth certificate that became her middle name. I have been shopping non-stop for this baby and I can't wait to spoil her more than my aunt did to me. Okay okay let me stop with all these excitement lol.

Now that I have told you guys the news, let move on to today's post. "WAITING FOR THE LORD'S TIME."

So the aunt I mentioned above met her husband about 8-9 years before there wedding. Guy finally made his intention known a year and a half later and once my aunt gave the news to the family the answer she got was a NO.  Apparently blood type is a big deal in Nigeria, so because they were both AS my grandparents, uncle, aunts, gbo gbo everybody said no even the pastor. Everybody kept saying they will have SS kids, but my aunt insisted he was the one. 7 years went by and when my grandparent realize she was not shaking they finally approved and they got married.

Now happily married and everything is going perfect and beautiful. The devil made an attempt to strike during the first pregnancy lying to them that my aunt had a  Fibrosis but God again put the devil to shame. First born almost 2 years old now and have never fell sick one day. She is indeed a living Testimony to me.

When God have told us Yes, the devil always find it ways to tell us No and if we let our faith wiggles we start to fall into his trap and begin thinking negative thought."For I know the thought I have towards you" says the Lord , and therefor He will never tell you Yes in vain. Once we get the Yes the question becomes are we willing to wait? How long are we waiting for? For my aunt it was 7 years for others it could be less and others it could be more, have you forgotten the case of Abraham and Sarah?

God promises special blessing for waiting and waiting still remains one of the difficult things of the Scripture. As human, we are so prone to take matters into our own hands, to follow our own schemes and therefore find it so hard to wait.

My prayers today is that God will always give each and everyone the courage and strength to wait on his promises.

  • Maybe you are in a job situation that’s really tough to endure and you are waiting and hoping that conditions will change for the better....WAIT!
  • Maybe you are without a job and waiting for news on an application....WAIT!
  • Maybe you are ill (or have a loved one who is) and waiting for your health to improve....WAIT!
  • Maybe you are a single person may be waiting for Mr. or Miss Right....WAIT!
  • Or maybe you are waiting for your child(ren)...WAIT
No matter what it is you are waiting for always remember to keep yourself busy for "an idle mind is the devil's workshop." Find a new hobby or start working on advancement. Personally I finished my Undergrad. this past December and while I'm waiting for for my ceremony in may and for a job I decided to start my graduate program instead. I was at home for a month and the devil was doing his best to make me angry over the fact that I was jobless but keeping busy with school and God's work keep me focus, knowing that God is in the business of unwrapping an AMAZING job for me.

I shall stop here now so if you are waiting Get out there, get busy for yourself, God, friends and family and God will certainly answer to your situation.

Cheers!
